Plymouth To Host Twin Cities West Metro Asian Fair June 1
Asian culture and cuisine will be on full display at Plymouth’s Hilde Performance Center this weekend.
The second Twin Cities West Metro Asian Fair will be held on from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.
Last year around 7,000 people attended.
This year’s organizers are expecting even bigger crowds to celebrate Asian food, fashion, family friendly activities and performances.
Organizers say there will be performances from seven to eight different Asian cultures, and an opportunity for attendants to try on different ethnic clothing.
Participants can also take part in a scavenger hunt and receive free giveaways.
Organizers say the mission behind the festival is to create connections.
“Our mission is to build community,” said organizer Chen Zhou. “Bring Asia to Minnesota, to Plymouth.”
Scholarships will be awarded to two young people at the fair for their volunteer efforts.
Approximately 20 food trucks are expected at the event.
The Twin Cities West Metro Asian Fair is free and open to the public.
