The “Battle of the Books” Engages Students
Anoka-Hennepin students tested their book knowledge during a trivia competition this week at Jackson Middle School. The competition involved seven schools and more than 300 middle school students from across the district.
“We know that there is no better way to gain background knowledge and information and world knowledge than by having kids read,” said Julie Scullen with Anoka-Hennepin schools. “Read widely and extensively.”
Teachers say the game gets as tense as a varsity football game, with just as much cheering too.
