Teen Found Guilty in Murder of Brooklyn Park Boy
A teenager was found guilty of murder after shooting another teen in Brooklyn Park this May.
Farah Ahmed, 18, of Columbia Heights, was found guilty of second-degree murder this week in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Jahcohn Anderson Jr.
Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred after Ahmed and Anderson spoke at the Quick African Market in Brooklyn Park.
“When [Anderson] walked in, he approached the suspect, raised his arms out to his side, and said something to the suspect,” the criminal complaint reads. “[Quick African Market] staff said that at this point, [Ahmed] began shooting victim and chased victim out of the store while continuing to shoot.”
Police found Anderson lying in the entryway of the store with gunshot wounds to his head.
Ahmed later turned himself in to police.
A witness later told police he was “100-percent”Ahmed was the shooter.
