Suspect At Large Following Golden Valley Stolen Vehicle Chase
Golden Valley police helped arrest two teens after an early Tuesday morning car chase in a stolen sports car, but one suspect escaped.
Golden Valley Police Chief Virgil Green told CCX News that a stolen Porsche traveled from Wayzata in Golden Valley on Sept. 3.
Police chased the vehicle on I-394, with several squad cars sustaining damage in the pursuit.
Officers stopped the vehicle near Brookview Gold Course on General Mills Boulevard, south of Highway 55.
Three suspects bailed out of the Porsche and ran. Officers from Golden Valley and Wayzata found two of the three suspects with the help of dogs.
The search for the third suspect — who police believed was armed — was called off after a drone search over the golf course came up empty.
The two suspects that were arrested have been unwilling to cooperate in the search for the third suspect.
Police recovered a loaded Sig Sauer handgun from the stolen vehicle.
Green said there’s no ongoing danger to the public.
