State Fair Staples Come to Plymouth Senior Facility
For some Plymouth residents, rather than going to the Minnesota State Fair, the Great Minnesota Get-Together came to them.
Residents of Trillium Woods senior living facility could enjoy State Fair foods, take in a flower exhibit … even walk a goat.
“It’s really fun to have all these animals,” said resident Jane Johnston. “We don’t have to go with the crowds. We can just have fun here.”
The residents could relive their State Fair memories, whether it was getting up close to the animals or biting into their favorite State Fair foods.
Andrew Hall, food and beverage director at Trillium Woods, helped serve up everything from corn dogs and cheese curds to mini doughnuts and deep fried pickles.
“Our residents, we consider them the luckiest seniors in Minnesota,” said Hall. “We love to deliver that promise every day.”
