Standout Student: Osseo High School’s Aisha Mane
Aisha Mane is president of the National Honor Society and excels at orchestra at Osseo High School.
But teachers say her caring spirit sets her apart.
“She’s wonderfully kind,” said Michelle Mazanec, who works at the Career Resource Center in the high school. “She’s going to be a big deal and I can’t say that about every student that I work with.”
Education is important to Mane. Both of her parents came to Minnesota from Africa to pursue their education.
“A lot of people don’t have the opportunity to go to such an amazing school as Osseo so I always try to live life to the fullest,” said Mane.
Mane focuses not only on achievement, but on her mental well being as well.
“A lot of students are overachievers and always push themselves to do things and they don’t take into account of their personal health or just their well being in general,” said Mane.
Mane is a senior right now, and has her heart set on studying molecular or human biology in college and someday becoming a cancer researcher. She credits her time in Osseo Schools as helping her reach that goal.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad teacher here at Osseo,” said Mane. “Every single one has just inspired me to go forth and achieve my dreams.”
