Standout Student: MCA’s Olivia Moore
Maranatha Christian Academy Senior Olivia Moore isn’t afraid to take on a challenge. She’s thriving in the classroom and on the basketball and volleyball courts.
Math is Moore’s favorite subject. She likes advanced placement calculus because she says it’s challenging. She’s putting her math skills to good use, as a treasurer on the student council.
The Maple Grove resident is social and very active in her school community. She has been a part of the Spanish Honor Society and was on the robotics team last year when they won state and went to a world competition.
The National Honor Society student also finds time to participate in sports. She’s on the basketball and volleyball teams.
Protecting the earth? Yep, she does that too. Moore is president of the recycling and composting club says she’s very passionate about the environment.
But Moore says she wouldn’t be able to do anything without her faith.
“I know God puts people in my life for a reason, and that he has a plan for me,” she said. “Feeling the love of people who don’t have many earthly possessions, has made me more grateful for everything God has given me.
Moore hasn’t decided on which college to attend in the fall. But she wants to major in finance.
