Standout Student: Cassidy Bianchi Rossi
Our first standout student of the school year is a senior at Maranatha Christian Academy. Cassidy Bianchi-Rossi has maintained a 4.0 all throughout high school. Multi-tasking might as well be her middle name. The bright student’s to-do list for this week, would put most adults to shame. “I have a paper that’s due this week in Ethics, I have an lab to do in Environmental Science, a quiz to finish, and I have to continue writing this essay,” said Cassidy. The National Honor Society member is taking college classes, one of her favorite subjects is Human Anatomy. In the near future we might call her, “Cassidy the Cardiologist.” “I got really interested in the heart doing human anatomy, so I might look at doing something more in that, maybe specializing,” she said. The well-rounded student also participates in several school activities. She’s a member of the film club, prom committee and she’s a captain on the school soccer team. Cassidy also has a big heart, and a passion for helping out others. She’s taken several mission trips to an orphanage in Mexico. “We got to hang out with the orphanage kids, play games and bless them,” she explained.
This standout student want to make a difference. “For Cassidy, it’s really whatever she wants to do, is what she’s going to do, I have no doubt,” said advisor Julie Reinking. “Anything she puts her mind to, she’ll easily accomplish that and more.” The outgoing student hopes to change to world, by continuing her humanitarian efforts. “I want to take the medical field and like expand it, like doctors without borders, or something like that. I think that would be super cool to be able to take it outside the United States.” Cassidy hasn’t decided on a college just yet, but her list includes Pepperdine University, Wheaton College, and the U of M Twin Cities.
