Stages Theatre’s “Zoom Room Peace Project” Brings Together Seniors, Kids
The “Zoom Room Peace Project” was an unintended consequence of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
This spring Stages Theatre Company was set to run a production in collaboration with Alive and Kickin, a seniors non-profit group in the Twin Cities.
Ten days before the curtain was to go up, the governor issued a stay-at-home order. The production was to be about what peace meant to each of the participants called “Peace 4 The Ages.”
Not to be deterred, the kids and seniors made a video they called “Zoom Room Peace Project Raises the Curtain on Hope.” You can watch it here.
The performance has been rescheduled for August.
