St. Raphael School Celebrates Feast of the Epiphany
At St. Raphael Catholic school in Crystal, students gathered for a special performance of the Feast of the Epiphany.
It comes at the end of the Christmas season when many Christians celebrate the three kings arriving to visit baby Jesus.
“We don’t know for sure there were three kings, but we actually just know that there were three gifts, gold, frankincense and myrhh, thus the tradition of the three different kings,” explained teacher Tricia Lyngen, who helped organize the performance.
St. Raphael had three of its eighth-grade boys perform the roles of the three kings. Students also memorized gospel verses and played music for the performance.
