Spreading Warmth Amid Cold: Plumbing & HVAC Company Gives Away Chocolate
Despite frigid temperatures, a Twin Cities company is warming the hearts of community members living in the northwest metro.
Hero Plumbing, Heating and Cooling plans to give away 6,500 boxes of chocolate to residents. Technicians will drop the chocolate to people at random. Each person will get two boxes. One is for themselves and the other is to be shared with someone else to pay it forward.
“We’re in a crazy time now and we want to brighten people’s days. Handing out chocolate is one of those things. Some think it’s a small thing and not a big deal but it’s the small things that make a big difference, especially with crazy times,” said John Nelson, a drainage technician for Hero.
At the start of the pandemic, the company also handed out free flowers as a way to spread joy.
