Santa Visits Golden Valley’s Good Shepherd School
Students at Good Shepherd School in Golden Valley had a special visitor this week. Santa Claus made the rounds.
“Everyday is a blessing that we are in school and our kids are so happy to be here you can just tell they are energized and they are engaging,” said Julie Starosta, instructor at Good Shepherd.
Students also got matching t-shirts that included their design input. The kids voted on a logo for the shirt. The winner? Reggie, a goldendoodle that is also the teacher’s dog.
“He comes to Good Shepherd every Friday on a typical year,” explained principal Stevi Evans. “This year we did an election the same time the presidential election was going on. Instead of voting for candidates, we let the students vote for their favorite Reggie logo that would be printed on a shirt.”
Good Shepherd also had a successful tree sale recently.
