Robbinsdale School Board Approves Contract for New Superintendent
With contract negotiations complete, Robbinsdale Area Schools officially has a new superintendent.
After offering Teri Staloch the job in May, the school board finalized a contract with her on Monday, June 24.
Staloch was superintendent of Prior Lake-Savage Schools from 2015 to 2022. She was also a former assistant superintendent at Osseo Area Schools.
The board voted unanimously to approve her contract.
“I am delighted to accept and say ‘yes,'” Staloch said. “I appreciate your confidence in me. The unanimous vote — both the night that you made the offer and tonight — gives me a lot of confidence and courage to do the work that is ahead of us.”
Her first day on the job is July 1, 2024.
“This is a very exciting moment here in Robbinsdale [Area Schools],” said Robbinsdsale School Board Chair ReNae Bowman.
Staloch’s three-year contract runs through June 30, 2027. Her starting pay is $250,000, plus a $600 monthly vehicle allowance and a $100 monthly phone and technology allowance.
Her pay will raise to $255,000 in the second year of her contract and to $260,000 in the third year. Along with medical benefits, she’ll also have a financial performance incentive of up to 10 percent of her base salary.
This comes after the board turned away a pool of six candidates in April, saying they were not a “good fit.”
Former Superintendent David Engstrom and the district parted ways in September 2023.
