Robbinsdale Police Investigating Road Rage Brawl
Robbinsdale police are investigating a road rage brawl involving as many as 10 people that left one injured and closed down a busy roadway.
According to Robbinsdale Police Capt. John Elder, at 6:23 p.m. on Monday, March 23, a 911 caller reported that someone was being assaulted with a golf club on West Broadway Avenue.
Responding police officers temporarily closed down a section of West Broadway amid reports that as many as 10 people were fighting in the street near Wicked Wort Brewing Co.
Investigators believe the incident stemmed from a case of road rage.
According to Elder, the fight began as two cars pulled over on West Broadway. Two people jumped out of the first vehicle and began assault the driver in the second vehicle.
The suspected assailants left before police arrived, Elder said.
Officers later recovered the golf club believed to have been used as a weapon during the incident.
One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but refused an ambulance ride for medical treatment.
Police are continuing to investigate but have not made any arrests.
