Robbinsdale Police Investigate Alleged Sexual Assault at North Memorial
An investigation is underway into an alleged sexual assault at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, police said.
Robbinsdale police say they were contacted on Oct. 23 by an individual claiming to be a victim of criminal sexual conduct while she was a patient at the hospital. The alleged perpetrator is an employee of the hospital. Meanwhile, North Memorial officials say they have not yet been contacted by Robbinsdale police.
North Memorial Health Hospital Statement
Corporate Communications Specialist Katy Sullivan issued the following statement on behalf of North Memorial Health Hospital:
We learned of the allegations on Friday evening from a media outlet. As of this morning, we have not been contacted by investigators. We have proactively reached out to the Robbinsdale Police Department to offer our cooperation and understand how we can support their investigation. We have also started a preliminary internal investigation, and no incident was reported through internal channels. We are committed to the safety and well-being of everyone who comes to our hospital.”
