Robbinsdale FD Open House Features EMTs
Rainy weather over the weekend didn’t keep people away from the annual Robbinsdale Fire Department Open House.
Kids and adults got to go for a ride on a fire truck as well as walk through the fire house.
Some first responders, like North Memorial paramedic Kali Olsen, explained more about the jobs they do. Olsen said her profession used to be mostly men, but now it’s almost 50 percent women.
“We love seeing young girls who are fully capable and know they can do police, fire, EMS or anything they want to do,” said Olson.
