Robbinsdale Comedian Gives Local Performance: ‘I Think People Need A Release’
A Robbinsdale comedian who has performed all across the country is returning to his hometown to generate some laughs.
David Harris will perform tonight, Feb. 23, at the New Hope Cinema Grill‘s comedy club. Harris grew up in New Hope.
The award-winning comedian has performed more than 2,000 shows and has worked with the likes of the late Louie Anderson.
His inspiration for comedy: everyday life.
“I think people need a release I think ’cause life is crazy and painful and lots of different things happen and it’s nice to kind of connect with people with shared life experience,” said Harris.
Two other local comedians, Ben Marcotte and Tobi Shamu, will open for Harris.
Harris encourages people to come out and experience a live show.
“It’s great that we have all this social media and the internet, said Harris. “But it’s always wonderful to come just to see a show and connect with people laughing together in person.”
You can buy tickets online at New Hope Cinema Grill or at the comedy club.
The show starts at 8:30 p.m.
