Robbinsdale Church Renovations Almost Finished
A major renovation project at Robbinsdale United Church of Christ is almost complete. It cost about 1 million dollars to make a new entryway, add new doors, and update the windows. Crews also installed a new heating and air conditioning system.
The pastor says sunday service will also have an enhanced sound. Workers installed new parts and renovated the 50-year-old organ. The goal was to make the church feel more accessible and welcoming.
“We are are an accessibility all congregation, and open affirming congregation, and we just wanted a space where everybody could enter the same place, and we could do our ministry all as one people,” explained Pastor T Michael Rock.
The church calls themselves a sanctuary congregation, meaning they are committed to helping people who might be undocumented.
It’s been 27 years since the church had any major renovations.
