River Valley Church Plans New Maple Grove Building with 600-Seat Auditorium
A large church in Maple Grove wants to set down permanent roots.
River Valley Church is proposing to construct a a new 34,000 square-foot church at the corner of Arbor Ridge Parkway and 101st Avenue. The five-acre lot is currently vacant.
The main worship auditorium would seat 600 people.
Currently, the church host services out of the Maple Grove Whirlyball Twin Cities entertainment center.
The Maple Grove Planning Commission recommended the project for approval.
In addition to the large auditorium, the building will have four classrooms, administrative offices, and a smaller auditorium space.
With the construction, the city is planning to construct a traffic circle at the intersection of 101st and Arbor Ridge Parkway.
The church plans to have worship services on Sunday mornings, as well as community gatherings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
River Valley Church has nine other campuses in Minnesota.
