Revamped Becker Park to Include Regional Trail Access
When Becker Park reopens in 2020, it will offer an access point for people to park and get on a bike trail that could take them all over the Twin Cities.
The city of Crystal is partnering with Three Rivers Park District to create an important access point for the regional trail system.
“It will be a great hub for people to launch at the bike trail or come back,” explains Dan Freeman, a commissioner with Three Rivers Park District. “At the end of the day, if kids have energy, there will be great amenities at Becker Park.”
Freeman says there are several trails that run east and west through the Twin Cities and future trails will create more north-south thoroughfares.
Construction on the park will begin in earnest as soon as the snow melts. To keep up with progress and donations to the park, follow the news at www.beckerpark.com.
