Purple Pandemonium at Crystal B-Dubs
Minnesota Viking fans are still buzzing about Sunday’s miraculous comeback win against the New Orleans Saints. At Buffalo Wild Wings in Crystal, the scene went from gloom and doom to utter ecstasy in just seconds.
“This place was packed,” said Rick Brodala of Crystal. “You couldn’t fit another person in here. When Diggs caught that ball and ran, it was just, ‘oh.”‘
Suddenly there was pure purple pandemonium in the entire sports bar.
“Flabbergasted,” Brodala said. “The whole place just erupted.”
“I had one guy up on a table knocking glasses over and just super excited,” said Kaitlyn Barrett, a server at B-Dubs. “Everybody was screaming and jumping and running around and hugging each other. It was just an amazing moment to see as a Vikings fan.”
For Brielle Carmichael it was one incredible first day on the job as a server at B-Dubs.
“We had people praying,” Carmichael said. “We had people just going crazy.”
Carmichael believes nothing can top day one of her new job.
“I don’t think so,” Carmichael said. “I don’t think you can get better than that. It was good. We’re glad definitely tips-wise that we won.”
Brodala has been a Viking fan for decades and watches every game at Buffalo Wild Wings.
“Like to see another Super Bowl,” Brodala said. “I’ve watched the other four and I’ve watched ’em lose four times.”
