Police Find Body in Shingle Creek at Brookdale Park
Law enforcement agencies are investigating after a body was found in a creek in Brooklyn Park on Wednesday.
Brooklyn Park police were dispatched at approximately 2:30 p.m. to a report of a dead body in Shingle Creek at Brookdale Park, at 7650 June Ave. N.
Arriving officers found what appeared to be the body of an adult male.
Brooklyn Park Deputy Police Chief Bill Barritt said the man appeared to be somewhere between 30 years old and of middle age.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office was scheduled to perform an autopsy on Thursday. As of Thursday afternoon, the office had not released the identity of the man.
Barritt said investigators do not believe the man’s death was the result of foul play.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Water Patrol Division is leading the investigation into his death.
