Plymouth’s Pump Track is a hidden gem
Bikers and adventure-seekers could try out Plymouth’s Pump Track in a timed competitive event this past weekend. The track is the first of its kind in the state.
Despite the chilly weather, people didn’t stay home.
Participants divided up in three age categories and tried to get their best time in three loops around the track. Third Lair collaborated and helped host the event.
“Everybody gets a participation ribbon and we have medals for the top three in each age group,” says Dan Lauer, Plymouth Recreation Supervisor. “It’s another activity for kids to do besides football and soccer.”
Participants said it was harder than it looked and that it took a little practice to get used to the track.
The Plymouth Pump Track is located at the Plymouth Playfield. You can take your bike and try it out from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
