Plymouth Police Remind Residents About ‘File of Life’
Plymouth Police remind residents that free File of Life packets could be a potentially life-saving tool for first responders.
The small red packet of information contains medical information, insurance and emergency contacts and is usually kept on the fridge or freezer in case the victim cannot respond.
“We usually use this in our assisted living spaces because that’s where people might need daily assistance,” explained Jeff Stimac from Plymouth Police. “But if you have a child that has special needs or even if you’re feeling fine, you just want to have it there in case something does happen to you or a loved one, we know where to look.”
If you are interested in having a file of life in your home, you can download one here or stop by the Plymouth Public Safety Building to get one, free of charge.
