Plymouth Plant Swap Is About More Than Just Plants
City Forester Paul Buck says the Plymouth Plant Swap that happens twice a year is about more than just swapping plants with your neighbor. People get together to share stories and information about the plants in their yard.
The swap happened on Monday, June 3 at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility on 23rd Avenue North. The city encouraged the participants to bring perennials and swap them for plants shared by others. To get involved, participants had to place extra plants in pots and label them with their common names. People could also bring seeds and plant wares, like pots, tools or even books, to swap.
The next plant swap is September 9.
