Plymouth ‘Passport’ Initiative Aims to Help Construction-Challenged Businesses
The city of Plymouth has a plan to help businesses thrive amid construction in its city center.
Plymouth Boulevard construction started this month. It’s a part of a major initiative to boost development downtown. The project will cause detours and, for some businesses, access challenges.
To help businesses, the city started the “Road Construction Business Passport” initiative, which allows shoppers to collect stamps from businesses they visit.
According to the press release, once you’ve collected eight stamps, you can enter into a $250 value prize drawing. If you collect 12 or more, you can enter to win a $500 value prize.
Some of the participating businesses will also have special promotions. Organizers hope this will keep shoppers local.
The passport program begins on Saturday, June 1. Passports can be picked up at participating businesses.
You can learn more about participating businesses on the passport webpage. More details about Plymouth’s construction projects are also on the city’s website.
