Plymouth Nonprofit Interfaith Outreach to Expand Resale Select Store
Plymouth nonprofit Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners is expanding Resale Select store. Interfaith Outreach takes gently used and new clothes and other merchandise and then uses the revenue to help families in the area struggling to make ends meet. The store is trying to raise its revenue to serve more people.
“Our goal is to raise the revenue. We’ve got a budget goal of $650,000. We also help them with clothing and household needs, furniture, this sort of thing,” explained Sonja Carr, store manager with Resale Select.
Recently, the store added another room called Resale Select 2. The space features gently-used furniture, pictures and small appliances. The store partnered with local businesses to offer high-end merchandise at an affordable price. Although Resale Select 2 is a thrift store, it doesn’t feel like it.
“We hand select for our customers and then have that one-on-one contact with the customers, making them feel good. Do good, feel good, look good is our tag line,” said Carr.
The Resale Select thrift store has an upcoming Ladies Nights event on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Customers can get discounts, gifts, and other goodies.
