Plymouth Church Holds “Big Sale with a Twist”
An annual summer event has returned to the Plymouth Covenant Church this week.
The Big Sale is back. Only this time it is the “Big Sale with a Twist.” This year all items are free. Basically it’s pick up what you want and donate what you can. Proceeds go to various church missions.
From clothes, to furniture, to sports equipment to toys, shoppers have plenty of options.
The church calls it “radical generosity.” They believe there are many people truly in need.
“We don’t want them to resale,” said Pastor Dan Johnson with Plymouth Covenant Church. “This isn’t about Craigslist. This is about what do you need? Like I have one young lady I just talked to. Her sister is moving here and she is doing her whole apartment. Found all the things she needs for her apartment. We just had something from Prince’s recording studio somebody picked up. So it’s amazing what you get at a rummage sale.”
The Big Sale with a Twist runs Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
