Plymouth Approves Policy for Drones
The city of Plymouth has adopted a policy on unmanned aerial vehicles or drones. City staff have been studying policies and procedures for the past few months.
This week the Plymouth City Council approved the purchase of three drones. The city also approved licensing and training for eight drone pilots.
Plymouth will use drones in several departments for a variety of purposes. That could include taking photos and inspecting projects and land. Public safety could also use the drones to search for missing persons or help apprehend a subject.
