Plymouth Creek Center Fundraiser Easy As Pie
Plymouth Creek Center hosted its annual Pie Day fundraiser on Wednesday.
Volunteers served up to 45 pies, ranging from apple and cherry to strawberry-rhubarb. Every slice came along with a scoop of ice cream for $5. The money will fund supplies and equipment for senior programs.
“It’s an event everyone likes at the end of the summer, it’s a good time to get back, the summers are very busy, we’re starting to get close to school again, people are getting out and doing things and it’s just coming together one last time for the summer,” said Deb Johnson with the Plymouth Creek Center.
Organizers expected more than 200 pie-loving participants for the annual event.
