Oxbow Creek Elementary’s Theme for Scooter World is ‘One Big Family’
Teacher Dan Masloski rents scooters and turns the gym at Oxbow Creek Elementary School in Brooklyn Park into a themed experience for students.
This year, the theme is Ohana or ‘one big family’ from the Disney movies “Moana” and “Lilo & Stitch.”
“The number one priority is we want kids to come into our building and be excited about physical education and be ready to learn and try to use their imaginations with movement and things like that,” said Masloski.
Past themes have been Harry Potter or Minons.

This year’s Scooter World theme at Oxbow Creek Elementary included volcanoes, palm trees, and scenes from “Moana” and “Lilo & Stitch.”
