One Person Discovered Dead After Apartment Fire in Plymouth
Firefighters in Plymouth discovered one person dead after putting out an apartment fire early Saturday morning. The fire left several residents of an apartment building with nowhere to live.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. at Lancaster Village apartments at the intersection of Lancaster Lane and 36th Avenue North, according to city officials.
Firefighters say one apartment unit was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived, and they evacuated that building. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents who were displaced.
On Monday, fire officials said the state fire marshall is still working to determine what caused the fire and the medical examiner had not released the identity of the person who was deceased.
Owners of the apartment complex, CSM Corporation in Minneapolis, would not comment about the condition of the affected units and whether those who were forced out on Saturday were allowed back in yet.
