One Man Injured in Brooklyn Park Drive-By Shooting
One man was shot in April 21 drive-by shooting in Brooklyn Park, according to police.
Brooklyn Park Police were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 5800 block of 74 Avenue North, according to a community alert.
Responding officers found one man who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police Inspector Elliot Faust said that the wound was non life-threatening, but treatment required surgery.
The shots were fired from a passing vehicle. The victim and another adult male returned fire.
Investigators located spent shall casings at the scene, but did not find any suspects.
“We don’t have any idea if (the victim) is out of the hospital,” Faust said. “He is no longer cooperating with the investigation.”
Video surveillance cameras captured footage of the incident.
Brooklyn Park officers were assisted by a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter in the investigation.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
