One Good Deed: Golden Valley Woman Prepares ‘Scarf Bombing’
A Golden Valley woman is doing her part to make sure people in need have winter gear to stay warm this season. Each year, Michelle Christensen holds an annual scarf bombing campaign to collect winter items for people less fortunate.
“The need is great. So, whatever it is that you feel like you can give, there’s a place and heart that will probably welcome that,” said Michelle Christensen, founder of One Good Deed.

Ninth Year For Winter Gear Drive
The One Good Deed organization has a group of volunteers who commits to doing at least one good act of kindness each month. So, now thru the end of December, the organization is accepting new or gently used and handmade coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for it’s annual scarf bombing campaign.
“We’ll go out into the parks. They take the items out of the park, trees, tennis courts, chained-linked fences and take them to wherever they are staying,” said the Golden Valley resident.
The items will be distributed at Loring Park in Minneapolis and Kellogg Park in St. Paul on January 9th. One Good Deed is also accepting monetary donations. You can find information on their Facebook page.
