‘Now Is the Time to Call,’ AC Experts Warn to Prepare Ahead of Heat Wave
AC Repairs in High Demand
Minnesota’s first heat wave rolled in and AC units rolled out.
Installers at Blue Ox Heating & Air in New Hope prepared for a busy Tuesday as temperatures neared 100 degrees.
“I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of pent-up demand, people kind of putting it off,” said manager Dale Busch.
Busch says by 11 a.m., they already had 60 calls for service and they anticipate double that amount by the end of the day.
“Oh we’re talking about no cool, the AC doesn’t work, ‘I turn it on, nothing is happening,’” he said.
Busch says people tend to put off their AC maintenance until it’s too late. But with supply-chain issues across the globe, it’s best to stay prepared.
“So if you do need anything now is the time to call before July.”
Installers say the best time to get ahead of the problem is before it starts.
“I consider proactive people and reactive people, we’re seeing a lot of reactive people right now,” Busch said.
