Northwest Greenway Trailhead to Include Challenge Course
The Northwest Greenway trail through Plymouth continues to develop, with plans taking shape for a new trailhead.
The Peony Lane South Trailhead will be located just north of Schmidt Lake Road and Wayzata High School. One unique part of the trailhead will be a so-called “challenge course.” The amenity would have natural fitness components with rocks, ropes and obstacles. The cost of the unique feature is $300,000 and would be finished by next fall.
Northwest Greenway Trailhead Shelter
The trailhead will also include a shelter. The Plymouth City Council recently approved a shed-like roof design. The estimated cost of the building is $1.36 million.
