Northrup Grumman Plans Plymouth Expansion with State’s Help
Northrup Grumman is expanding. The Virginia-based defense contractor, perhaps most famous for building the B-2 Stealth Bomber, will improve its facility in Plymouth over the next three years.
The expansion comes after the company won a multi-billion-dollar Department of Defense contract to develop and manufacture air-defense missiles.
The 200,000-square-foot Plymouth campus currently has about 580 employees. After the expansion, the company plans to add 65 more, with salaries averaging about $100,000 per year.
Northrup Grumman will get a combined $1.3 million from two state job funds if it meets its job creation goals.
