North Hennepin’s JazzFest is Sat., Feb. 1
Grammy-nominated musician Steve Wiest will be featured as part of North Hennepin Community College’s JazzFest on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m.
The concert is free and takes place at North Hennepin’s Fine Arts Theatre. It caps off an educational experience for students.
“During the day, we’re going to be bringing in about five high school bands. And, they are going to get a chance to work with Steve Wiest,” said David Mantini, North Hennepin’s jazz band director. “Steve Wiest is an amazing trombone artist and composer and is Grammy-nominated.”
