North Hennepin Faculty Featured in Art Show
The North Hennepin Community College Faculty is taking their turn in showing off their talents in the Joseph Gazzuolo Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.
Joshua Woof is a ceramics instructor who has been doing ceramics since he was a kid.
“My father’s a potter and I started throwing on the wheel when I was 6,” said Woof. “It’s just kinda something that’s always been an ongoing thing in my life.”
Woof enjoyed that ceramics allowed him to work with his hands. He started college to study IT, but after a semester determined it just wasn’t for him.
“I started thinking about what’s been consistent in life. And it’s been that affinity with clay,” said Woof. “That process of working with material, and using my hands. I am wanting to do that full time.”
Woof shows off several of his pieces at the current exhibition. Besides teaching at North Hennepin, he is the art gallery director.
North Hennepin Community College wants all of their fine arts faculty to be working artists. Eleven faculty members are featured in this exhibit.
The gallery is open during business hours and the public is always encouraged to stop in and see what’s on display. To see a previous exhibit at the Joseph Guzzuolo Gallery, click here.
