Nonna Rosa’s Hosts Murder Mystery Dinner… with a Dating Twist
The next chapter of a murder mystery has arrived… one that includes really good food. Nonna Rosa’s Ristorante Italiano in Robbinsdale is back with another murder mystery dinner. This time the show comes with a dating twist called “Love and Cannolis.”
Tina Suglia, owner of Nonna Rosa’s, and Pamela Russell, founder of Top Hat Theatre, helped put together the show.
“This year when Pam and I got together and decided what would be the right fit for this edition, I was like ‘you know people are really into this ‘Bachelor’ show. I do not have time to watch it. But I really think if we did something about the Italians trying to set up the grandson kind of ‘Bachelor’, ‘Bachelorette’ style that that would make for really good entertainment,” said Suglia.
The nine cast members are hard at work in preparation for the opening this Friday. When Russell started on the project, she says, at first, she wasn’t quite sure how to accommodate Suglia’s idea.
“So then I was thinking about it and my husband said, ‘What if the contestants were based on musical theater characters.’ And then all my lights came on and it’s like, ‘Oooh, that’s a really great idea,'” said Russell.
Along with the show, you’ll enjoy a special four-course meal. To find out who gets done-in and whoduneit, there are three shows at Nonna Rosa’s, one this Friday and two next weekend. Each show takes place at 8:30 p.m.
