New Hope to Examine New Solar Energy Regulations
The city of New Hope currently does not have city code that regulates solar panels. In the past, the city has allowed solar energy panels to be installed as part of architecture. But after a company wants to install a ground-mounted solar system on Bass Lake Road, the city council will study the matter further in a work session.
Unique Solar Panels
Smartflower of Minnesota wants to establish a regional office in a building on Bass Lake Road. They would also like to install one of its ground-mounted solar systems. The systems are unique to our area. They open like flower petals, follow the sun to collect energy, and then, close up and clean at night.
