New Hope Adopts Updated Dining Ordinance for Patio Season
Freestanding restaurants like Pub 42 can have permanent outdoor dining exceeding 30 percent of the total customer floor area, as long as the outdoor dining is on its own lot and doesn’t share parking with another business.
The city of New Hope updated its dining ordinance just in time for patio season. The New Hope Planning Commission considered the amendment at its April 6 meeting and recommended approval. The city council then adopted it April 26.
This follows an ordinance amendment application made by Pub 42. It applies to freestanding restaurants in the Community Business and City Center Districts.
