New Daycare Proposed in Brooklyn Park
A new daycare that fills a growing need wants to come to Brooklyn Park.
Long time Brooklyn Park residents who operate a Crystal daycare want to build a facility in Brooklyn Park. The center could care for up to 180 children and is proposing being open until 11:30 p.m. to serve families working night shifts.
The Economic Development Authority (EDA) recommended approval of a daycare center on the old Burger King site on Brooklyn Boulevard. The center, called Christina’s Childcare, could care for up to 180 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Owners anticipate serving a large number of families who are considered low income.
The matter now heads to the city council for final approval.
