Native American Exhibit on Display at Maple Grove Middle School
Maple Grove Middle School students and community members have a chance to learn about Native American history. They can visit an exhibit titled “Why Treaties Matter.” The exhibit is an exact replica of the newest exhibit at the state Capitol. This week, it’s on display at the middle school.
The experience will offer an interactive history lesson for students at Maple Grove Middle. The exhibit be on campus for five days. Students will also get a chance to hear from a Native American storyteller.
“I think it’s important that we have it here because we don’t always have teachers that represent the history of the people that we’re teaching and talking about,” explained Lisa Hartman, principal.
The public got a chance to see the exhibit Thursday evening.
