Mural Going Up at Crystal’s Elision Playhouse
Crystal Mural ‘Makes People Smile’
A trio of artists are painting a mural on the east side of the Elision Playhouse in Crystal.
“I think it’s my hope that it makes people smile,” said artist Lili Lennox. “I want them to see that big owl face as they’re driving by and just be surprised that this exists on 42nd Avenue in Crystal. Any business that thinks about doing a mural on their building, I just really appreciate people who have that creative thought and vision to know that we can do something different, we can bring a little extra color and fun to the neighborhood.”
The mural was partially funded by the city of Crystal’s façade improvement program.
The artists hoped to have the mural completed in time for their next show. “A Flight of Short Musicals” will run for three performances June 9-11.
