Maple Grove Man Pleads Guilty to Sexually Assaulting Student
A Maple Grove man, who is a former teacher, has pleaded guilty in a case in which he was accused of sexually assaulting one of his former students.
Daniel Laskowski pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of using a minor to make pornographic work. He will be sentenced next month.
Laskowski, 32, was a teacher and football coach at Columbia Academy in Columbia Heights. According to the criminal complaint, he acted as a “father figure” to the boy, who was 15 when the assaults began.
