Maple Grove Hosts ‘Trunk or Treat’ on Saturday
The city of Maple Grove will host a Trunk or Treat event in the Community Center parking lot from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The event is free and will feature local businesses, plus police, fire and public works vehicles.
“We are working with local businesses in Maple Grove to have their own trunk at our event. They’ll decorate their trunk. Hand out candy and promotional items kids will dress up in their costumes and do trick or treating from each business,” said Kiley Meyhoefer, with Maple Grove’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Besides treats, there will be trucks, dancing for kids and a guess-the-weight-of-the-pumpkin contest.
Last year, more than 1,200 people attended Maple Grove’s event.
