Maple Grove Hospital Celebrates 10 Years
Maple Grove Hospital is celebrating 10 years of serving a community that continues to grow.
The hospital started with about 150 staff to now well over a thousand.
“Everything has grown much faster than was ever anticipated,” said Maple Grove Hospital CEO Andy Cochrane. “By the end of this year, we will have seen 350,000 people in the emergency department.”
There has also been 45,000 surgeries in the hospital alone and nearly 41,000 baby deliveries.
Over the course of 10 years, the hospital lab team conducted more than 2.7 million tests and the imaging department has done more 300,000 CT scans and x-rays.
Cochrane said the hospital now faces a good challenge, the fast growing community.
The city of Maple Grove has grown more than 10,000 residents since the hospital doors opened.
Maple Grove Hospital is currently considering expansion options to meet the needs of the community.
