Maple Grove Arts Center Hosts Annual ‘Advocates’ Show
Maple Grove Arts Center is once again hosting its annual “Advocates” show, which showcases the work of those who support the nonprofit financially.
The “Advocates” show runs until Aug. 25. Opening night for the exhibit is Thursday, July 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Maple Grove Arts Center, 11666 Fountains Drive.
The work on display and for sale depicts many type of media, including painting, sculpture, mosaic and photography.
“People don’t always realize artists are a part of the community. It’s kind of a hobby for a lot of people,” said Teri Iverson, who runs the gallery. “But being a part of the arts is a lot of people’s main focus, too. So we want to really highlight the people that do this a lot and they enter our shows every single time.”
