UPDATE: Man Dies After Crashing Car into Deck at Brooklyn Park Home

A man has died after crashing his vehicle into a deck at a Brooklyn Park home, police said late Thursday afternoon. He had been listed in critical condition.
According to Brooklyn Park police, the crash occurred on Thursday, Dec. 4 near the intersection of 63rd Avenue and West Broadway.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at 10:42 a.m.
Police found that a car struck the deck, which had collapsed onto the vehicle.
The man driving the vehicle was its sole occupant. No one else was injured.
First responders removed the man from the vehicle, and he was taken by paramedics to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol and Hennepin County’s Crime Scene Investigations unit.
